I have friends visiting me from out of state and they have always wanted to do the Coast Starlight train trip from Sacramento to LA.

They are concerned about the limitations on the train because of Covid-19 restrictions.

1. Will the Observation Car be closed to passengers? Or maybe it will be open but they will limit how many passengers can be on the Car at any one time, or maybe there will be time limits on how long you can relax in the observation car.

2. Will the full service Dining Car be open? or will the menu and/service be cut back in some way?

3. Do you have to wear a mask for the entire trip?

4. Will the seats that have a large table in between them, where passengers sit facing each other be closed?

5. Will the restrooms be open? Or will they provide Depends for everyone (lol).

6. Are they doing temperature checks before you board the train?

Please feel free to share your experiences on the Coast Starlight during this Pandemic?
