It would have made more sense to have been educating these folks, even by more than standard measures, than chasing people walking alone on the beach.
That would require advance planning, critical thinking and being proactive. Pretty much the exact opposite of California politicians.

I won't argue with you about that, they were also working in motels, fast food, warehouses and rest homes. Amazon admits that nearly 20,000 of their workers tested positive for Covid, and another large employer of that population are slaughterhouses and poultry processors both of whom have had high rates of covid. I certainly think education is part of it - but what do you tell them to do when their employer doesn't take proper precautions? They have to work...

What led you to make that comment? This is not about 'racial equity', that must be what you assumed after reading the shocking headline from the right wing PJ Media article, right?

Poor neighborhoods that frequently have a large number of racial and ethnic minorities have far higher covid cases than wealthier neighborhoods. If this isn't addressed then we all pay, either because we lose our jobs or because they spread the virus and we catch it or someone we love does.

Maybe an analogy would be a fire on a cruise ship, if you only put the fire out on the decks with expensive suites and ignore the decks with the cheap cabins ultimately the fire will consume the entire ship.
