The term “Most Beautiful” is very subjective. Some poster said LA county. I don’t think LA county is that beautiful as a whole. Urban sprawl, bad air, bad traffic and I could on.

Give me the North Coast or the Sierras any day!

With so many choices there, I would go with the part we find the most beautiful and where we go for vacation most years, the Sierras and Lake Tahoe.
Placer is very high on my list as well.

I do agree with others that there are some different counties with more varied landscape, but for a consistently beautiful area, this takes the cake for me.

Yes.... the redwoods, plus the coastline -- and the rivers too! -- make a magnificent combination.

I definitely consider LA a beautiful place. It is in fact STUNNINGLY beautiful compared to most of the country, especially the Midwest and South!

Tuolumne County since most of Yosemite resides in it (the uncrowded, northern half) as well as much of the Stanislaus National Forest, several Alpine rivers and lakes, stunning backpacking through the High Country/Tuolumne Meadows/Ansel Adams Wilderness, charming mountain/mining towns.

I grew up there and it was pretty freakin ideal in the ‘70s, still pretty great today.

Thus my observation that beauty is subjective.

That's easy. Lake Tahoe in Placer County. Mark Twain called it the most beautiful spot on earth. I agree it's the most beautiful spot I have seen in the US. For second most beautiful I'd pick the rugged coastline in Monterey County for spectacular views.
