“Little Kabul” was a thing there in the 80s because Fremont was still such an overwhelmingly American city that Afghanis were noticeable. Today, Afghanis are about the whitest people there. Fremont is now overwhelmingly Indian and Chinese.

Here's where Afghan evacuees have resettled in the U.S.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/afghan-...rnia-virginia/

"With 5,117 arrivals, Houston is the city that received the most evacuees, followed by San Diego, which welcomed 2,350 Afghans. The top 10 destinations also include Sacramento, Denver, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Glendale, California, and Alexandria, Virginia, all which received more than 1,000 Afghans each."

Top Cities for Afghan resettlement in California.

San Diego: 2.3k
Sacramento: 1.89k
Glendale: 1.15 k

Sacramento and San Diego are expected but Glendale is a surprise, as it has no existing Afghan community. Big Armenian community but very few Muslims.

I don't know how to break it to you, but Afghan people are white, they are Caucasians so I'm not sure what issue you have with them? I live in Sacramento, my grandson goes to school with a number of Afghan children. The Afghani immigrants are hard working and very family oriented. It seems that you are concerned about having them here, might I ask why?

I agree, that is what a lot of people think Caucasian means

I guess it'll remain to be seen wherevUkrainian refugees will be settled, and if they get along with the Afghans.

At least in Sacramento they get along just fine. Many of them live in the same apartment buildings and their kids go to the same schools

Is this Arden-Arcade ? Sacramento might end up being more Ukrainian and Afghan rather than Asian and Latino like the rest of California's metros.
