I'm not at all surprised to see us as #1 in the Seattle area. Here in Sammamish WA the crime rate is very low, but what we do have is mail theft and porch pirates. Hardly an hour goes by without an Amazon, UPS, or other delivery vehicle in the neighborhood. With so many Amazon employees around here most everyone buys from them frequently. We get notified when a delivery comes and working from home 3 days a week I can go right out and get them. Many of us have Ring and other cameras to tell us when someone drops off a package, but then some people still refuse to believe they could be a victim, and they whine about it the next day on Nextdoor.

In Seattle the police are not really able to do their job because the City Council thinks the thieves must need it more than the residents, and might be over-arrested minorities. Hopefully with 7 new council members elected there will be some change there.
