Interesting that these flights are to/from Chiang Mai and not Bangkok, in any event, this is the first nonstop US service to/from Thailand in several years, so that's neat.

Smart move. No one really thinks of Chiang Mai as a vacation destination. This is a great way to increase tourist dollars to that city.

I'll assume that's tongue-in-cheek as Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand and a top tourist destination. We're coming into the burning season now though so most savvy Thai travelers avoid the north during February because of the terrible air quality... last year it had the worst AQI numbers in the world for many days.

The youtubers have been chatting up Chiang Mai for a while now, which I'm sure increases demand. Looks like a cool place, though.
