San Diego, 3rd floor of a building near the beach. It rattled for a minute but nothing too bad.

in Orange County we felt it pretty good. It seemed to go on for quite awhile. We've felt the aftershocks too. Our phones went out for about 15 minutes but we didn't lose cable or internet. We are in the midst of packing up to move to Michigan so I checked the house for damage. None found.

From the reports I've heard, no one was killed/hurt, and damage was minimal. I think it just scared quite a few people.

I was in Placentia eating tacos and felt it pretty good. I felt the aftershock 10 minutes later. I was sitting in the car and felt it bounce around a little. I tried calling my wife on the cell and couldn't get through but the Blackberry IM was still working. I imagine text messages would have worked too. You might want to make sure your relatives know to try to text/IM each other instead of trying to make a voice call after something like this.

I felt it! J/K

I just spoke with a relative in California and got some emails from some too.
One who lives in Upland told me they were driving their car and felt it.
A niece in Ontario had stuff broken in her house.
Pomona City Hall had a huge window fall out. No one hurt, but they are now closed for the day so they can do repairs.

I'm still waiting to hear from a nephew in Chino Hills.

Keep safe!
