Have you visited both cities? Have you lived in either city for a short period of time? Which one do you prefer personally, and why? Where will you be moving from?

What line of work are you in?

If you are 25, single, male, ambitious, very well off and good looking, the world is wide open for you. Any city/state/nation can be perfect. What do you want to do? Some industries are stronger in one city than another.

Lifestyle... which city's lifestyle do you prefer? They're vastly different, and both great.

Bottom line: what do YOU want?

Easy, spend your summers in NYC and your winters in LA.

To reiterate what others have asked:
- have you visited? Which do you prefer?
- what kind of work do you do?

Those questions will decide your question.
FYI born and raised in NY metro and have lived in SoCal metro for 15 years, the two places could not be more different. LA is closer to the lifestyle of most suburban / small cities in the USA than NYC is.

i didn't mean to be vague earlier, i grew up in Boston and currently live in philadelphia area..so i know the north east very well.
I go to Nyc every other weekend...been to LA a few times too. I was there for a week, and can completely see my self living there.
I have always loved the NYC vibe, but lately i am loving the Cali Vibe too.

I have worked different jobs, but my heart is in the service industry.
I would love to be in the hotel/resturant/nightlife industry...

I need to make a decision in the next couple of days. any suggestions would be appreciated..

Thanks

I would say LA. You seem like you enjoy both cities rather equally. What's your gut telling you? If you had to live in either city for 3-5 years without moving, which would you choose right now? Several of us have also asked "why." Why do you like both cities, and what do you like about one that the other doesn't have? Likewise, what do you dislike about each city? Also explain why. With all due respect, both of your posts are rather vague and it is very difficult to help you or provide any advice if we don't know what you're thinking. Sassberto suggested NYC, and I suggested LA. But this is all about you, and not about us, so it would greatly help if you explained more about yourself. Finally, why do you want to leave Philadelphia?
