If anything, they will be more lenient with them than with legal youth. After all, we tend to have two sets of laws in this country -- one for legal citizens (by the book), and one for illegal aliens (wrist slap).
it says 14 y/o's involved in "gang" activity which can be tagging or any other offense. and how do they figure out who is in a gang? sometimes having family in a gang marks you as a gang member. so that part of the prop is a problem.

but i do agree that if 14 y/os want to rape or kill, then they must face the consequeces of their actions. but its all on an individual case by case basis.

whenever i am uneasy about a prop i vote no. it will almost always come back in some form or another.

this is a political issue. its not about immigration. regardless of the fact that ONE immigrant advocacy group endorses it. its larger than mere immigration. if it is opposed/endorsed by the church does that mean i could go post it in the religion forum?
no, its still politics. CALI politics.

thats the problem i have. you guys get very narrow and small and focus on one thing. like a one trick pony. this issue is very complex and invovles myriad variables.

so its just as easy to move it and have other people comment on it, instead of duplicating threads.
and honestly other posters hate coming to the immig thread. its too toxic for them.
if it were in politics or cali, more people could offer their opinion. more people who actually have something at stake here. last i checked, unless you live in cali you wont be voting for this.
otherwise here its just a bunch of parroting back and forth.

If the Mods feel this thread should not be in this forum, it will be moved. Again, there is nothing preventing you from starting another thread in the CA Forum. Why are you making such an issue out of this?
