They're still on the California forum as of now. Maybe they're being moved to the Politics forum which is where they want you to discuss - you know, politics.

Yeah, but it's a California prop. I think it's more appropriate to speak with fellow Californians rather than, say, Texans or Georgians.

But this is a privately owned forum with their own rules. Free speech does not apply. Obviously they thought it was not right to discuss on the california forums(politics I guess?)

Right-O. Most ppl from other states know nothing about it. I only know about it as a gay man who tries to keep up with news and current events in my former home. I know that the moderator was rather curt and ultra defensive about her non-support of Prop 8. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

I think people in other states know about it. After all, a lot of money, for/against it, is coming in from other states.

i wish that i could have the pleasure of voting against it as i did for prop 22 in 2000. i've donated $75 for the cause and hope that californians see the light that it is wrong to discriminate.

I closed them because it was starting to get too heated. I do agree it is related to CA, but I don't think that people do a good enough job of restraining themselves from insulting others. I am not trying to squash the conversation, you can start another thread on the topic.

It's not that I don't appreciate your opinion or your contribution. I do, honestly. It's just that there may be people from other states, or maybe new members who don't tell us where they're from and say that they're voting one way or the other.
