Ok, now this is downright scary.

Can one of you thick headed fools show me the place in the constitution that says "separation of church and state"?
I dont even think any of you know what the 1st amendment actually says.

Prop 8 just came at a time when not quite enough old Californians have kicked the bucket. And believe me, I'll be immensely sorry to say goodbye to the generation of Californians that voted against John F. Kennedy.

The gap narrowed overnight, so it doesn't seem to be the resounding defeat crowed about earlier. With 95% reporting, it's 52/48 for.

Next time.

That comment only shows your ignorance. Please SHOW US where this idea was in the minds of those writing the constitution. People are free to believe what they want and vote accordingly, THAT is the point of it. People in CA voted, end of story, get over it. Viva democracy!

Looks like the Yes on Prop 8-ers DID NOT follow Gods law after-all. They followed their FEARS.

Please SHOW ME where it wasn't.

They would have had to be morons for that to not cross their minds, especially considering the murderous, blood soaked theocratic history of Christianity up to and after the establishment of this country. The framers were well aware of the evils that can happen when a theocracy goes bad.

You can't get around the fact that separating one from the other also separates the other from the one. It's a very tidy arrangement for both sides.

Nobody ever thought this country would have an African-American president either. And if it wasn't for Lincoln (that activist president), it never would have happened.
Lincoln was forced to free slaves. He was hardly an activist. He was also a Republican.
