My neighbor got his car registration renewel for his 1990 toyota camery.His registration increased from $39.00 yr to $79.00 a year.He has a 19 yr old car.I can honestly see why ALOT of ca citizens despise the ca legislature & govenor Benedict Arnold.This is just utter bull****.

I don't know. I have to admit, I am curious. Part of it is that I live in a county where I was already paying an extra $5 per year. Maybe another part had to do with differences in the original vehicle purchase price, but that's nowhere near explaining the difference.

We are still paying less than other states. It was only the yearly tax that increased, other states include it in the property tax.

I understand what you are saying , but did you know that constitutionally you don't need the licence plate on you're private vehicle and you don't need that thing they call a drivers license.
