I was listening to this too - apparently, through the clever replacement of the word "tax" with "fee" they are trying to bamboozle the Californians into paying out even more. SICKENING!

I'm so glad that I'm not dependent on any services provided by the state. What a mess!

What the heck is going on down there in CA? I just heard about this yesterday, and of course the first thing I did was to download all of the J&K podcasts from the last few days! Simply amazing!

I'm so glad I escaped from the California Nut-house before the train completely left the track. With all of their ranting and ravings, its ironic that J&K are some of the more rational voices to be heard in La-La land! I used to listen to them all the time back during the Davis recall!

Anyway, the wife and I will be down to visit relatives in So Cal over the holidays. At least I now know there will be entertainment available on the radio!

The renaming is there to get around the idiotic need 2/3rds of congress to pass anything on a budget rule.

Well, if we don't want to raise taxes, we could always fire a third of our K-12 teachers, that would be another way to close the hole in the budget ...

What the hell? I can't believe anyone still listens to those clods.

www.therealkfi.com - The Real KFI (http://www.therealkfi.com/index.asp - broken link)

It's not that I oppose senseless taxation, but given J&K's erratic history on the issues, this is a mere ratings ploy and nothing more.

Hosts of an afternoon talk show on KFI AM station here in SoCal. Have a good grasp of the blatantly obvious; fee=tax, OJ=guilty, etc.
