Born in Oakland, grew up in San Diego.
Prefer Oakland and Northern CA much better.
But..CA over all is a beautiful, dynamic state.

DANG! Four months too late since that's how long ago we moved out of state.

However, I was born in San Diego in 1946 and when the military (first my father, then me) wasn't interfering, spent about 40 of my years in-state, including the last 30 or so.

My wife was born in Vallejo in 1948 and spent most of her life in CA (military family also), also including the last 30 years or so.

Born in Woodland Hills (in the San Fernando Valley, part of the City of LA) in 1989
Lived in North Hollywood, CA most of my life, except a year in Phoenix, AZ and Staten Island, NY each
Now living in Berkeley, CA but frequently go back to LA to visit the parents when I don't have work
