I listen to Coast to Coast AM 2 nights ago and the guest of that show stated that there would be a powerful earthquake between 1/8 to 1/15 of this month!

Don't get your panties juicy about this one, it was only a 4.5. I live 12 miles from the epicenter and didn't feel a thing.

I didn't find it to be alarming either. Watching KCal News was so dramatic. One lady "I felt as if I was going to die and the whole house would cave in on me. I was scared for my entire existence." Again, a little dramatic. Either she lives in a really poorly made house or she is just a little sensational.
This was nothing compared to the Chino Hills Quake.

granted by what people are saying this one may be a bit shallower than the usual earthquakes. big jolt for a 4.5 and a lot of people reporting a "boom" noise just before the shaking. the quake also lasted over 2minutes. chino hills didnt last half as long

Oddly enough, I felt the first aftershock rather than the initial quake itself. I was up on my feet stacking groceries in the pantry for the first quake, and sitting on my tuchus in the recliner for the aftershock.

To me 4.5 is a big one since I have never experienced one in my life! WABC news said it was a 5.0!
My sister does not live far from there. I just hope this is what he said, "powerful."

I almost missed the whole thing...thought my stampeding children were just making the house rumble a little more than usual and then it was over
. And it didn't seem as long as that bigger one we had during the summer. All in all, falls squarely in the ho-hum category....
