I work for a company in Las Vegas, I work in Seattle.

Will I need to pay Cali's state tax if I moved to California for 2-3 month? All of my money is direct deposited into my Washington BOA account.

My understanding is that if you were physically in the state when the money was earned, they will ding you for the income tax. The only exception I'm aware of is for active duty military. I may very well be wrong. But I also can't see California as having any kind of reasonable or fair policy when it comes to taxes. If there is a way to tax you, you can bet CA has thought of it already.

I believe you would be considered a partial year resident, and owe pro-rated taxes:

I would suggest having a pro do your taxes if you have income from more than one state in a year. There is an "offset" formula that is pretty tricky. I went thru this a few years ago, ended up owing the IRS. Good luck and welcome!

Not sure but my brother was in Iraq serving. Made like 50k or something around that.

When he got back, he had to pay the state income tax.

and we still mange to over spend billions. CA needs to get its act together, seriously.

Professional athletes pay CA income tax on any game they play in CA. Your company should prepare a W-2 for you in which it specifies which state that income was earned.
