Just received a confirmation e-mail from DMV that my registration was paid on time...

Apparently the problem was due to my payment arriving Thanksgiving week and not being promptly credited...

Thanks for all the suggestions...

I do try to use the Auto Club DMV office when I can...

Using the auto clubs is excellent advice,especially now that our boneheaded governor has decreed that all State offices cut back their hours and the employees take a ten per cent pay cut. DMV workers don't make that much in the first place and now the lines will be just that much longer. .
