What is a better place career wise? I'll be young and single, so I can handle roommates for a few more years, along with money being tight, and accepting the high cost of living. What I cannot handle, is the Winter here, so Southern Cal is definitely a place of consideration.

My major will be Management Information Systems. So pretty much computer jobs.

I'll be willing to put in a lot of work as the new guy, overtime and all that good stuff. Which place would I be better fit to succeed?

LA has A LOT more career opportunities than San Diego in general.

Compared to LA, San Diego pays midwestern salaries with Socal costs of living. LA will have more options and higher pay.
