There is of course places that are nice to visit and sightsee!

I now live in Washington State or I should say new california because more californians are moving here, each day...
That's interesting, because I retired from WA State to Butte County, and love it here, especially the Sierra foothills.

Although would probably agree that Imperial County wins the Least Attractive (though it does include the Salton Sea), with maybe Riverside County coming in a close second, if it weren't redeemed by Joshua Tree National Park (especially in the springtime)!

The best I would say is L.A. only because it has so many different things, climates, opportunities, varieties of places to live.

So you consider Riverside County worse than San Bernardino county????

Both are fine scenic and attractive counties, once you are east of the metro Mordors.

Since I technically live in Fresno county I consider this thread a minor victory for Fresno as it's not named much.

California has way too many counties. About half that number would make more sense(like what Spain did, they consolidated there 50 provinces into 19. It made the machinery of government run smoother and more Efficiently.
Anyways back to the thread.
Best county = San Francisco, San Mateo, San Diego
Worst county = Santa Clara, Fresno, Inyo, Alpine, Yuba, Kern

Best: O.C., San Diego,
Worst: San Bernardino

Honestly San Bernardino is worse than Riverside county. Riverside county isn't so bad.
