One thing that is obvious about Stockton is the people. It gets the worst elements from all races, people who have nothing in common living in the same area. It got rated the most miserable city in the country, but there's nothing wrong with it... except the people there. It doesn't feel like America most of the time. Why does Stockton get the worst elements from people? What are the reasons?

This is copied from one of my earlier posts in the "Why does Stockton suck" topic:

This is what happened that lead to Stockton sucking:

1. Prices of Bay Area homes skyrocketed
2. People of low income could not afford homes
3. These low income people moved to Stockton because Stockton had cheap housing (due to its IMO poor weather and location)
4. Low income = less taxes = less money for infrastructure, poor schools and less money to attract businesses

Stockton is an anti-vortex. While Sedona and Hawaii suck the "beautiful people" their way, Stockton is sort of at the end of the food chain, or, digestive system, if you will. It's what you could call a "puckered bunghole" that balances what happens at the other end.
