What would be the best small town/city to spend warm dry winters away from the rain of Seattle ?

I'd go along with one of those towns in the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Cathedral City).

I wouldn't do Cat City. You want to stick to Indian Wells, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, La Quinta, parts of Palm Springs and the Shadow Hills area of Indio, if you consider Coachella Valley.

Also south of the Coachella Valley in areas like Borrego Springs & the Imperial Valley. Actually the Imperial Valley [El Centro\ Imperial\ Brawley] is mostly farms but just a warm as Palm Springs during winter. I like the Yuma area also. These low desert communities average in the 70's during winter w/ cool nights but by late March temps are close to 90F & it only gets hotter into summer.

I usually go to the area around Bullhead City, AZ Bullhead City, Arizona - DesertUSA along the Colorado River in late Jan. Just across the river is Laughlin, NV Official Website of the Laughlin Visitor Bureau with lots of casinos. There's plenty to do such as water activies, golf, tennis, etc. Just south of Laughlin is an Indian casino on the river with a nice golf course Avi Resort and Casino. The weather gets to about 70 during the day, however it gets cold at night.

Ditto Twinkle Toes. Multi-million dollar snowbirds flock here for a reason. It's amazingly beautiful, lots to do (or not), top of the line entertainment, world class shopping, recreation, low crime, low pollution, etc., etc., etc.

It's paradise - Even at 120 degrees in summer!

Well, okay, the summers are a tad on the brutal side, but we desert folk are used to it!
