I was looking up W.R. Hearst State Beach and the weather, I found this:
Average Weather for William Randolph Hearst Memorial State Beach, CA - Temperature and Precipitation

90's at the beach?

But San Simeon's weather stays in the mid 60s pretty much all year? I know that Hearst State Beach is south facing, but this is extreme. What gives?

You should consult with the weather channel. Chances are they are always correct about what goes on at their online site. LOL

Check this out though too. On the CA state parks website:
William Randolph Hearst Memorial Beach

"Seasons/Climate/Recommended Clothing
In general, San Simeon's climate is very mild. Summer temperatures range from the high 50s to low 90s, while winter ranges between the low 40s and high 60s."

EDIT: Maybe they are including San Simeon State Park which includes the beach and inland regions (which are more extreme in temp).

I doubt it gets into the 90's more than a couple of days a year at that beach, if ever. If you go a mile inland I could see it getting that hot. But at a central coast beach? No way.
