LOL, is this turning into a baiting thread?

In-n-Out is OK but the popular food places in Fresno now include Hunan (one of the best Tanjia/Szechwan places in the state, foodies do road trips from the Bay Area & LA to eat there. Great Tea-smoked duck); Limon for Peruvian (same as SF's Limon and no other locations outside of SF); Mangosteen, Cracked Pepper, and Chefs Table (all by top chefs originally from the Bay Area); Trelio and others.

Maybe not the best place, but Fresno is far from the worse. It has more to offer than people realize.

Stockton and Wilmington would both get votes from me, with Wilmington perhaps barely squeaking by Stockton for worst.

Actually worst crime in CA would go to Richmond not Oakland. Oakland is big enough where the majority of major crimes only affects certain area's of the city. Area's you probably won't be living in anyways.

Stockton. Definitely the bottom of the barrel.

Will it become the Flint of California?

Stockton is a stinker. At least crime ridden cities like Richmond, Oakland and SF have plenty of redeeming qualities. Stockton...well...you know...

Sounds like what people used to say about Cleveland: "At least it's better than Buffalo!"

Fresno - at least it's better than Stockton....

I was raised in Fresno and lived for about 7 years in LA. I have to say, I would chose Fresno over LA anyday! In my opinion LA is WAY overrated. I have been to other cities - such as Portland and Seattle. They were 10x cleaner, safer, and a lot cheaper! Fresno may not be "the place to be" but at least there's not cockroaches running around all over the street! yuck.
