My husband our 2 kids (4 and 6) and I are going to be moving to Parker, CA. He lived in the area when he was a teenager however I have not and I'm looking for any and all information I can get. We are moving from Walla Walla, WA and hoping to be moved by Sept. Any advice? Suggestions? Comments? anything will help
Thanks

Parker is in the very middle of the desert. It is a small town supported mostly by the river that runs through it. Skiers and party people flock to Parker in the summer time to enjoy the river...
It's not very close to anything. Lake Havasu is about a half hour away.
If you like the desert, and like water sports, you will love Parker... It couldn't be more different than Washington
It's about four hours from LA, and about four hours from Phoenix.

I didn't know Parker was in Ca, I thought is was in AZ, Laughlin in NV, Searchlight in NV and Needles in Ca. Maybe you need to be on the AZ board.

Parker is right on the Calif/Arizona boarder. The river is the boarder. All of the people who live on the Calif side go to Parker for any needs they might have, as there is no town on the California side.
Ok, there is a town on the California side. Earp, California, named after wyatt Earp who once lived there. The only thing left of the town is the shack Wyatt lived in, so Parker serves both sides of the river as the only near by town..
