Why is this newsworthy? She didn't like CA it is ok because she is moving. Many people move for all kinds of reasons no need to write a letter to the state and have it published.

A weird thing I've noticed, is that people like to announce they are leaving to the world. Why? Just leave, GO. On message boards, people announce they are leaving the forum never coming back. On this site, people announce they are leaving ____________ and not returning. Why? Insecurities about the move? I could care less who leaves and why. Just leave already.

From reading about her take on why California isn't desirable, why she continued to stay anyway, her book, and why she is glad to leave, she looks like one of those airheads who overvalues her intellect a bit.

True. This is a large nation of many, many states for her (and us) to choose from.

Sounds to me like she needed to vent. And maybe the L.A. Times didn't have anything better to fill the space.
