I am seriously considering moving to San Luis Obispo. It has received good press from many sources and I am ready for a city with less traffic and population than I have here in Irvine, CA. But several people have commented on the lack of jobs in that area. I am wondering if piano teachers get enough business and also if there are any sheet music stores for the teachers. I also play piano for special occasions, parties and assisted living places. Is business good for musicians or are they being replaced by CDs? My daughter is a legal assistant. Would she have any trouble finding a job?

I couldn't even imagine you being able to make a living up here teaching piano lessons.
