What is the general consensus in the community about which Los Gatos elementary schools are best? TIA!

California School Performance Maps
This is your one-stop source. Schools should all be good in that district.

I should have mentioned that I have looked at the data in great detail, but I wanted to hear it from the locals. The numbers say that Blossom Hill and Lexington are best, but is that the real picture?

A general rule of thumb is to find out who the "good" principals are. They're the ones who won't tolerate krappy teachers. In any event, you want a school in which the parents are actively involved in their kids' education. That also helps to set an "educational atmosphere", as expectations are held high.

Thanks Snort, this is the kind of information that I am seeking from the locals. We have never lived in Los Gatos, but we have decided that is where we want to live if we are to stay in California. It is going to require some sacrifice and it might be a long time before we can afford to buy a house there, but I think it will be worth it for the schools and low crime in the area.
