But dude, look on a map. Take you 5 seconds to determine Fresno is a city in it's own right.
Not true. It's the northenmost suburb of Bakersfield which is the northernmost suburd of LA and the saga continues!

Like others have said, Fresno is a city of its own. It has suburbs, but isn't a suburb of any other city any more than Los Angeles is. Fresno, in fact, is one of the largest cities in California. It is fifth in population behind Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, and San Francisco. Long Beach and Sacramento are very close at sixth and seventh.

Its location is key. Virtually equidistant from SF, LA, Sacto, etc. Not surprisingly, it is the 2nd "state government" hub after Sacto. If it was not for the lack of a (mostly) all weather route from it over the Sierra, it probably would have eventually been the Capitol.

Actually the question is: what are the suburbs of Fresno? Now, if the state continues to grow soon, like was mentioned, Fresno will be a burb of Bakersfield..

that's what i figured... Fresno has about over 500,000 people in it's city and on the outskirts would equal about close to 700,000 people

So Definitely Fresno is it's own city by it's own right. But still it could be way bigger if it wasn't for all the Agriculture Surronding it. but then again that's important too.

To answer your question though... lol Fresno is a suburb of the Great state of

Vermont!
