For the Next 10 days the San Joaquin Valley is supposed to have way way above average temps possibly hitting 104 degrees on Monday of next week.

Im starting to think that Global warming is hitting us really fast because the average for this time of year is 89/60 not 98/68 i just don't understand this incredibly hot temperatures.. i mean i know it's the Valley and technically it's a desert but still Come on.. Even the Desert Southwest is starting to cool down.. lol i think were all sick and tired of triple Digits for the rest of the year.. I Guess this is Summer's Last Gasp

I think though really they need to adjust the yearly averages... by at least 3 to 5 degrees Seriously ... i mean i dunno..it's been way way way above average to the point where the average if we reach it.. is actually a cool down... that's not how it's supposed to be.. lol You gotta love weather.. so unpredictable..

yesterday here in Fresno...though it was 77 degrees and morning rain.. so yeah.. Impossible to Explain really

Definitely summer's last gasp, which is not unusual this time of year.

Since 1972, the National Weather Service says the average date of the last 100 degree day in a year occurs around Sept 12, but it has happened as late as October 14 back in 1978.

weather trends vary from year to year. We had a fairly mild summer up until August, but we're always due for a little heat. It's still summer for another week. As far as the rain, they were talking about el nino conditions and perhaps that had some influence. warm water in the pacific tends to increase rainfall.

Hottest weather I can remember in Calif was in late Sept and I remember 2 or 3 years of that. In fact one year, L.A. schools closed because of heat. Yep, mom natures way of saying, "I got cha"

What FresnoFacts said.

What's so unusual about 104 in September? I don't know about Fresno county, but north just a bit, we've had measurable rain every month this year, which is REALLY unusual.

I'm starting to think we are having the typical fall pattern early this year and that you have not lived in the San Joaquin Valley for very long, or are very young.

Robin Roberts from ABC's Good Morning America was the keynote speaker at yesterday's 22nd annual Central California Women's Conference in Fresno.

This morning she commented on the show about the weather she had during her visit:
"I was in Fresno yesterday; it was gorgeous in the eighties. Beautiful weather, beautiful people."

Of course, she came from New York where it has already dropped down to around 65 or 70 degrees.

you don't understand So cal do you? lol The Hottest time of the year for Southern California which pretty much is the exception from the rest of the entire country the hottest time of the year for the California Coast and Southern california is late September into mid october.. because of the Oceans influence to those areas.. the Ocean remember warms up slower then land.. so it's still really warm in October.. and the santa ana winds cause temps to rise in So cal for the time span between Late September and Mid to late October For the Rest of the state... we usually cool down by mid September hence i asked the odd question of why we havent here in Central California... lol sorry to confuse you there
