Also what is the difference? I'm interested in going into nursing. I just got out of the military after 6 years and I love medicine. Please help!

Probably an RN. I believe they make more money than an LVN. I don't know what an SF is. San Francisco???

Default RN vs LVN

If you get an LVN its only a one year program. You will definitely make much less money. An RN is a two year program. If you get your BSN ( a four year degree) that will help tremendously if you eventually want to go into management. When you look in the newspaper you will find more RN positions.

I don't know about San Francisco, but in alot of counties it takes quite a while before you are accepted into nursing school in California.

Default Thanks

Thanks so much for replying and your helpful suggestions. I've decided to fill the RN requirements at a community college located in San Fancisco and then transfer to state or a private institution to complete my BSN.

Default Good Plan

RN's are ALWAYS in demand. We always have several travelers at my facility. Great Profession with lots of opportunities! Good Luck
