If you can be a bit more specific about what you're looking for you might get some more targeted responses. I'm assuming you mean California history-specific publications, as opposed to just California-based publications. Do you want to pump up your CV for academic or for writing clip purposes? Do you have a particular area of interest or expertise? Magazines like the
Quarterly (Pasadena area) publish short articles for a general audiences; there are other magazines like that around the state, and although not really a CV booster from the academic sense, they'd give you some nice clips.
