I told my wife the exact same thing while we were living in CO. Monterey was the only place I wanted to live in CA if we were to move back.
Then two days later I got a job offer in Monterey from a recruiter cold call out of the blue! I about fell out of my chair.

Several Lustrums ago we would go to the teen club across from the front of the old hospital, Not far from the officers club.
I bagged groceries at the commisary. Also pumped some gas & mowed some crab grass around Stillwell Park.
