I'm planning to move to the South Bay in the near future and I was wondering which would be a better place to live: Sunnyvale or Mountain View. I am not big on going out and spending money (for now at least) and I am more interested in oudoors (hiking, biking, etc). I've looked at general statistics for the both cities but it's hard to tell what is each city like without living in the area. Any info would be appreciated (even stats: crime, diversity, etc..)

There's really not much difference between the two towns. Both are suburban with the usual mix of apartments, homes, stripmalls, etc. As for outdoor activities, the beach (Santa Cruz) and redwood parks are to the west and there are trails along the tidal wetlands by SF Bay.
