Hi, I am a lesbian mom, my partner and i have 5 kids and we are looking to move to the area from Washington D.C because we both have received job offers in Santa Monica . Can someone tell me where the gay friendly nieghborhoods that are near the beach and moderatly priced . we can do apartments or house rentals. we dont mind a commute to work just want a safe gay friendly neighborhood for us and the kids that wont break our pockets.

I would say all of SM is "gay" friendly.

Almost ALL of SM is safe - parts around Virgina Ave Park are iffy.

There is very little in SM that is "moderately" priced.

You won't find whole districts like West Hollywood where everyone is gay but you won't have any problems either. Welcome to California! Bring money.
