They are very enjoyable.
Do you post your sons pictures too?
I get really frustrated with my photos ... i just can't get what i'm seeing so i give up.
A good friend just gave me a really nice digital camera so i have to learn how to use that.
But it's very strange for me to use a camera where i'm looking at a screen and don't have the camera up to my eye.

Yes, the scenery in Big Sur really is that amazing, actually More. If you have an opportunity to make that drive and you don't then you are truly missing out on something great. A dramatic sunset at Julia Pfeiffer Burns SP (see the pic above with the waterfall pouring directly onto the beach) is what I call a 'glory moment'.

To explain what I mean by that, I have only visited a few other places in my lifetime that I would label as such:
1) The top of Cloud's rest in Yosemite NP, CA at dusk (alpenglow).
2) The top of Mt. Huron, CO on a warm and windless summer day.
3) Underwater off the coast of Kona, HI -- a few yards away from a humpback whale.
4) Stargazing from the rim of Canyon De Chelly, AZ on an ultra-clear night with no moon.

PS: Calling California 'Cali' is like calling Virginia 'Ginny'

No, but people do use Cali. Quite often. It was used in this thread even.

So, stop doing it. Easy enough. Using the term Cali sounds like the user is from the deep backwoods of Missi, or Arki.

I am supposed to care about what an entity called Biggie, thinks says or does?
I assume that anyone who would call himself Biggie, would use Cali.

No problem. That's one way we tell the newbs from the locals.

The major sport and business in Nevada is taking money from people who say, Nevahda. Ignorance makes easy marks.

There was a heated debate over on the CO forum about whether it's "Colo-raado" (as I'd say) or "Colo-rahdo".

The stretch of highway 1 from Morro bay to Monterrey has to be one of the most stunning places in the planet. I drove that road twice and was lucky to have crispy and sunny weather both times- I stopped at all the state parks, San Simeon, Paso Robles (great town off the coast), Nepenthe, Nassimiento-Fergusson Road, saw sunrise and sunset, marine life along the way...

Stop often, go slow, roll the windows down (better if you have a convertible or sunroof) and I guarantee that you will remember this as the best road-trip ever... The scenery of this place draws me like no place else.
