From what I hear not nearly as expensive as California. You can if you look get an apt. for $700.00 CDN per month utilities included for a full one bdrm. with full bath including shower, living & dinning room and kitchen and balcony. 2 bdrms go for $875.00 and up. They aren't in the greatest neighborhoods but not in the worst and who cares when you can save money. They usually sit in the middle and not much goes on. They're just older buildings. There is a standard here for apt.'s and there are some slum lords but if you or someone else were to come I could divert you away from the slum lords. The house prices vary as they do anywhere. Depends on what you want to spend. It's cold in the winter! I almost forgot...if you hate different cultures then you will hate Toronto, it's the most culturally diverse city in the world!!!
