Hi Everyone,

I was doing research with online taxes and found a link to file for FREE for Federal and State but only for California Residents.

Looks like there;s some kind of promotion or something going on. Here's the link to the site

TurboTax® in Spanish - Prepare Income Taxes for Free - Maximum Refund Guaranteed (http://turbotax.intuit.com/lp/tt-en-espanol/?cid=all_espanol-6_aff_3468348040&priorityCode=3468348040 - broken link)

It doesn't tell you state is free until you get there, but truste me it worked fine for me!

There are tons of places to download TT Premier, Home and Business, any of them for free including state and you can easily tweak one of the TT data files to be able to download as many states as you want.

Legally? If so, do tell. (Otherwise, don't.)

It says "state additional", so it's not exactly free. It's also in Spanish. You get your refund in pesos.

California is not a state that participates in the free tax filing from my recent exp efiling. Turbo tax charges $15 to file state, but federal is free
