Any of you see the Nat Geo Explorer episode on California coast redwoods last winter? It was the counterpart to the October 2009 National Geograhic magazine cover story on Redwoods The Tallest Trees. It was put online a few days ago, all 44 minutes of it.
The background music is pretty good too, so grab a beverage and relax. The episode includes research tree canopy climbing, the 1800 mile Fay transect and other. And a segment about how the 84 images were taken and stitched together to make the big 5 page foldout of a giant coast redwood for the magazine.
