Next thing you know high school students will be performing sex acts on stage. The teacher should of stopped this. Its not innocent fun cause it can lead to other things like full nudity. http://scpr.org/news/2010/05/09/para...ns-striptease/

Would you have had an issue with it if it were the female students who stripped down to their underwear and curse yourself for not being fortunate enough to see such a thing in high school?

I would still feel the same way even if was females stripping down to their panties, thongs, g-strings or granny underwear.

So that bothers you, but an attractive, female teacher sleeping with one of her 14 year old students doesn't?

Theres a time & a place for everything. I dont approve or condone what amy beck did. I do feel a 2 yr prison sentence is a bit xtreme but this is ca after all. Ca has the most prisoners in the nation & now its going to cost us (the tax payer) 50k a yr to house her (bed, health & food). Probation would of been a more appropriate sentence. CA IS JAIL CRAZY!

Eagle, ya know I love ya, but I have to disagree. If it were a male teacher sleeping with one of his female students, he'd absolutely be jailed and the public outcry for his castration would be tremendous. Because Amy Beck is female does not grant her preferential treatment. What she did is just as repugnant as if it were done by a male.

I see teenage guys in their underwear whenever I go outside, even though technically they are wearing pants. I've also seen girls in boys boxers. And once, in a play, a girl took off her shirt to reveal her red bra.

I think it's the "striptease" atmosphere that gets people riled up more than anything. But if it was part of a slapstick stageplay (which I have seen btw) nobody would say a word.

It's so hard to know what to get upset about these days.

This sounds like it was initiated by the students. The teachers were no doubt completely taken aback at this and were wondering just how to handle this in a way that wouldn't get them sued.

The school board needs to hand down some guidelines as to how to handle similar future incidents and they should probably suspend the students for a couple of days. But that is about it.

Part of the reaction is no doubt due to the sexual repression we have in this country thanks to religion. I hope the school board will handle this rationally, but based on past behavior of such bodies, where the primary directive is CYA, I doubt it. And no, that pun wasn't intended.

Also, nice work to the always sensationalistic willing to exploit teen sexuality for ratings Eyewitness News, who has made the one kid a celebrity now, which will encourage copycat incidents all over the country.

I do see boys with their pants hanging below their boxers (lame) & girls wearing boys boxers & showing alot of clevage. One teen girl (maybe 16/17) had short shorts on & her cheeks were showing. Her mother didnt seem to care. When i first moved out here from penna i was 17 & my first time at the beach (newport beach) was a eye opener. Prior to that the last time i saw the ocean was atlantic city,nj at age 10 or so. I did see girls at public swimming pools in johnstown during the summer & i saw a lil more then what i expected. It was intresting.
