After seeing this it seems more and more CA may be living above it's means. I'm sure other states have the same financial burden to bare too.

Would it make you feel any better to know that my wife AND I receive a total of about $43K from the state between the two of us and a mere $27K from Social Security?

Granted, we have lifetime medical, prescription and dental coverage but we're not exactly living high off the hog in this day-and-age.

Read the post more carefully and click on the link. The "California government workers" are NOT necessarily retired from the STATE. They are retired from various cities and counties as well as the CSU system. The first person listed worked for the City of Vernon.
