I see it as sort of similar to what we're dealing with here. Only in the US, the smaller entities are actual states rather than "pseudo-republics". Either way some EU countries ban them and some don't. Why shouldn't some states in US have the same ability? Not saying that's what you meant. However California has more to lose through environmental damage than most other places so it needs to take more drastic steps than other states to protect it.

Banning plastic disposable bottles would be a better move. Make it all aluminum. Aluminum recycles nicely.

That too. Budweiser started coming in aluminum bottles a few years ago.

I wholeheartedly agree with the ban. After all, it's not like there's nothing else out of which to make grocery bags!

Pick away. As close as I can tell you never met an illegal immigrant you didn't want to come live in your home!

We are, by a process known as a free election. We are having one in November and another in 2012.
I imagine they will reinforce the revolution of November 2008.

Oh grumpy old man. You really don't read what I post very often LOL. I have said time and again that illegal immigration is a problem and needs to be delt with. At some point, I've even said that I part ways with my fellow liberals on this. However this law isn't the way to do it.

Much respect to you either way
