Why thank you. Half way down was a water trough, I should have taken a picture of the doggies swimming in it. Happy dogs.

I thought of Derek and his images when I shot the sun on the river. He gets better color though, probably has to do with having a more expensive camera.

OMG! How I envy you, my friend! To die for.

As photographs, most are ordinary (sorry) but as a walk in the wilderness, spectacular!

You are double blessed. First for enjoying the walk, and second for sharing with the rest of us.

Yeah, doggies swimming is a winner. My wife would sure have enjoyed seeing. Thanks again, my friend.

You are welcome. There are so many people who bash on California, I like to present the counter argument, it sorta goes like this, "Get out side, the politics and economics are of no matter when you are walking along a wilderness trail" There is so much to do in this state, in so many different landscapes and biomes. In that regard, no other state comes even nearly close.

I like to show a bit of that in the hopes that some will hop in their carcachita and head out to the woods, even if just for the day.

Never miss an opportunity to focus on negative change, eh Leonard? Even if more than 75% of the land area of California remains sparsely populated, offering endless trails, breathtaking vistas, soul-healing solitude, vibrant adventure opportuniities of the widest varieties -- more than 50% of the land permanently protected and restricted from human settlement / development -- it is still necessary for you to respond with a negative nod at a few square miles of Fullerton? Right. Tch.

Feel free to post more when available. What a great hike. Love it this time of year when the hills turn green.
