A car being towed by an RV in Arizona was struck by a train when the driver was unable to pull forward far enough to get it off the tracks.

A video of the incident about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Flagstaff shows the RV stopped at a Route 66 traffic light while towing the car, which ends up on the railroad tracks.

Another knucklehead learns his lesson the hard and expensive way. I have to deal with railroad tracks right next to a traffic light controlled intersection where I live and I'm always cognizant of where my vehicle is in relationship to the tracks. That includes when I'm pulling a trailer. When it comes to train vs car, truck, motorhome, trailer, etc, the train is always going to win.

Near where I worked, there was an intersection like this one. https://goo.gl/maps/cAmx4PvepG62

Whenever a train approached , and the crossing bars came down, the traffic lights at the intersection would automatically be turned green, to allow traffic caught like this to clear out.
