Yes I know the American and Canadian dollar is not the same, but Canada's been catching up on us, and we're still down on our luck.
Don't be SHOCKED, they can afford that with the huge quantity of taxes and elevated %, even, if you check any item price between the 2 countrues or even services, like hydro, phone, cellphones, you will see the difference, you can't make an statement like that without knowing the situation, based only on the amount of $ paid by hour.

Plus that figure is probably a nothern rate with a lot of OT.
No, things are picking back up fast. There are companies all over the place looking for bodies. I was just offered multiple positions in the $18 + range, and turned them all down to go back into the oilfield

They wanted $10 minimum wage and they got it. And almost immediately that was no longer any good, and now it's supposed to be $14 or something. All this does is push up the price of many products and services -- yet Canadians want everything as CHEAP as possible because we're always expecting things to be like they are down in the States.

Is inflation a huge problem in Ontario?

News flash.......This post is FOUR years old. The minimum wage in Ontario is NOW....$11.25 an hour.

And NO , inflation is NOT a problem in Ontario, or the rest of Canada, for that matter.
