So Ive been attending algonquin college for the last 3 days and one thing I seem to have noticed is how tall Canadian girls are(atleast in my college).I mean I am 175 cm which makes me 5'9 inches and I honestly feel that 75% of the girls are either my height or taller than me.I mean I come from India and I am used to seeing women much shorter than me(with exceptions of course) and I had anticipated that the people here would be taller but this is a sure shock

So, what you really mean is that we are tall Huge implies uh, other things.
I am 5"3, everyone has always seemed much taller than me.

In Canada,
Huge = fat
Tall = tall
Odd you should say this though, the last high school graduation I went to I thought "Jeez the girls are tall nowadays!" Growth hormones in food?

It also seems to me that are youth are much taller and heavier than when I graduated from high school. There doesn't seem to be that much a middle ground. The girls all seem super thin, or quite heavy; same with the guys.
I do think it has something to do with growth hormones in the food.

Ya - huge is not what you are describing but try using that at the campus bar and see where it get's you! And we are getting taller by the generation! My mom is 5'7 and when she was in ther 20's she had to sew her own pants because she couldn't by them long enough! I am 5'9 and from what I have seen by the time I have a daughter she will probably 6'3! I walk around the mall amazed at how tall some young women (and men) are.
Lot's of fresh air and perogies - that's what my Grandma says anyway

That's so true, they're either stick thin or baloons, lol.
Come to think of it I have noticed the American/Canadian female backpackers here do tend to be on the tall side.
