I was born and raised american, never made better than a "C" in english class. Still couldn't diagram a sentence to save my life ) But I'll past that test and post it in the forums when I do. The political climate down here is driving me crazy. Wish me luck. prayer na hurt either lol
I guess there's something wrong with the citizenship test itself....
what matters most to newly immigrants is how to make a living, not the history of the country.
People intent of applying for citizenship in a country have the advantage of recently studied the relevant material.
Citizenship tests in general tend to focus on items taught in school. By the time a person is old enough to asked "man in the street" question, grade 5 social studies is dim and fading memory for most.
The Canadian Citizenship test also has a number of questions relating to the creation of a third territory in 1999, Nunavut. Quite frankly, it was not an earth-shattering event to those not living in the region.
