Virtually the same climate. Campbell River is a little further from the open ocean etc...but I don't think anyone can tell the difference. Might even be a touch warmer...but not enough to notice. Interesting water front there...all sorts of little whirlpools where the tides pull both ways at once.

Neat place. Where I learned never to walk under a bald eagle sitting on a power line.

My aunt lives up near there, so I go a few times a year. It is a little cooler in the winter, and a little warmer in the summer than Victoria by at the most a few degrees.....more rain without a doubt. For example, this winter I went there for Christmas, on Christmas Eve when I arrived we drove up from Victoria, and it was rain all the way until we hit around Courtney/Comox and the rain became wet snow.

I used to live in CR and visit relatives in Victoria. Aside from being completely different communities, Victoria is windier year round (and very English). CR is further north and protected by the Island mountain range to the west and the mainland and Quadra Is. to the east, so a little bit cooler winters, and warmer summers.
