We now have new "youngun" MP's and this is what I like about it:

1) they're almost all from McGill (if they have to be from one place, that's a place)
2) they're NOT pre-law; they're political science students "avec" volunteer experience (thank you very much but we have 'nuff lawyers in Ottawa, s'il vous plais
3) they get their shot; OK, so it's a little early, but they now have NO EXCUSES;
now go get yours!
4) they'll need a mentor, particularly the barkeep manager from wherever; most importantly, they'll need to learn Zig Ziglers main advice: SHUTUP!!!
5) they're young enough to have time to learn almost anything, including French
OK, I've started the thread
now let's keep it positive and give them some clues as to their new "career choice" and what surprises may be in store

Finally: THE ENTERTAINMENT VALUE IS WORTH THE RISK

It is nice to see a mostly hopeful post regarding this. I think it's great that so many young people have been elected, and I agree that they'll be able to learn what they have to. Of course they didn't expect to win when they began campaigning. The NDP! In Quebec!? And so many of them are so obviously unprepared. I have my fingers crossed. Such strong support for the NDP was so great to see, and it would be such a shame to have inexperienced MP's hurt perception of the party.

And yeah, at the very least, Canadian politics sure got interesting!

They can't be any worse than the lazy feeding-at-the-federal-trough "I'm Bloc/I'll always get voted in" MP's they replaced - plus we get the entertainment value. Jack has to send them to "How to be a good constituency MP" school and show that he's a good defender of Quebec interests in Ottawa - otherwise Jack will be reminiscing like Roy Batty... and all those seats will be lost in time... like tears in rain...
