For those of you who live in the western part of Ontario such as the cities below, how is it living in the those areas?

For example, Guelph, Kitchener,Cambridge, Brantford, Hamiliton, Burlington Mississauga, Brampton.

I am just curious to know people's feedback concerning their living situation in those cities. Any advantages and disadvantages? Would you consider it the best city to live in?

How would you rate them compared to where else?

I studied at the U of Guelph.
I think its a nice city to settle if you're looking to raise a family and don't like big city life. It has alot of good amenities for a city of its side (some nice restaurants, outdoor activities, festivals, and a cool little cinema that plays indie films - the 'bookshelf'.
On the downside there's tonnes of students who can get rowdy downtown, real estate is fairly high for a smaller city (again, related to the student population), and I don't think I would want to live there if I were a single 20 or 30-something.
In my opinion the best thing about it is it's proximity to Toronto

I don't want to compare it to any other city. I am just curious to know how is it living in those cities. Is it family-oriented, safe, how is the nightlife - great for singles etc.. That is why I would like some feedback for those who do actually live or have lived those cities mentioned.

I am not from Ontario so I did not know they were considered as the eastern part of Ontario. Thanks for letting me know.
