Is it just me or has the left and right incrimentally merged into the same force and entity? Recently one of my adult daughters took a stroll through the occupied St. James Park in Toronto - There were all sorts of signs...some were regarding monitary disparity and the desolving middle class -- While others were more dated - Marxist parroting slogans from a bygone era, most of them older and still determined. There was even a picture of Mao with a bunch of kids who I suppose did not understand that these doctrines were in themselves responsible for the untimely deaths of millions.

What I did find disheartening is that none of the young people had a grip on what our system has become. It might have been an educational system that dated and out of phase...kind of like a time warpage that does not quite fit into into the rapidly fluxing and fleeting present. Our young were like oldsters and seemingly not equipped to deal with current affairs as they really stand.

There was this us and them attitude - a conflicting attitude that spear headed this "movement" ...that there was some sort of corporate enemy that needed to be defeated...little do these juniour socialist know that we already have socialism in Canada - and oddly enough the clever capitalists utlize this national condition to benefit themselves.

I suggested to some of the dread headed kids that maybe when they march down Bay Street - if they want - should apply for jobs in the monetary trade buisness - and as they say "change it from within" - There is really no one stopping these young wanna be upstarts from becoming part of an internal re-formation of our corporate structures...All they would have to do groom up - and be dilgent enought to get up in the morning.

So in conclution - If the idealist with good intent want to create a healthy socialism - they had better go to head office and learn the capitalist game. A game the ensures the health continued sustaining of our highly evolved blend of doing things...the brave new world Socio-capitalist enterprise - They have one great thing to bring to the table - The vigor of youth and a re-newed ideal comprised of honour and justice - If they want it...it's there - the doors are not locked.

Completely absurd. They know exactly what it has become, and that is: completely inequitable in favor of the rich and powerful.

They may not know how to fix it (which is the politicians' job, not theirs), but they sure as hell know what the system has become.

And a fair number of people are trying to fix it from the inside. See Buffett, Warren or Schmidt, Eric.

Politicans are not about fixing things - Those along Bay Street - the old timers who weild great control over the money supply are the ones in control - not some front man political - such as that waste of time Hudak - or McGinty...There is a bit of a conflict going on - it is between anit-social conservatives - and social conservatives..Conservatives still control Bay Street - and a lot of the old guys are a cold and in a sense - justify their actions based in the idea that human nature is nasty - and to do nasty things to the people monetarily - is just fine - cos' human beings are in eccense BAD - this I don't adhere to - people are good for the most part...so how do these "protestors" deal with people who don't like people? Looks like it is unpassable..and things will remain the same till the old guard dies off...so folks just have to WAIT...cos the old dogs are not about to give up their bone.

Going back over four decades I watched the incrimental take over of our public resourses. View all the deversions and understanding how the public was hood winked...usually by toying and manipulating human emotion - and appealing to the worst and most base parts of the human personal - to our detriment - What has formed is Orwellian in scope. Our establishement has taken an inherited positon granted to them by their forerunners...Those that acquired wealth by crimminal means -

Yes our so-called establishement learned all the tricks from their fore-runners - from their fathers and grand fathers...who for all intent and purpose passed down a type of laundered value system - that appears benevolent but is rotten to the core after you get past the vineer of civility - we are controled by cruel and ruthless barbarians - who view themselves in a delluded sort of way as good people..

So how do you convince a rich and powerful lunitic that he is harmful to society? It becomes a self worth and a pride issue for them - If they absorbed the truth..and accepted it - It would be such a strain on them that they could not bear it - so they literally through law enforcement -stick to their guns come hell or high water...It's like trying to rationalize and and reason with crazy people...THAT is our serious dilema!

It is more than interesting - people over time form a character that becomes rock solid and to alter that character is like trying to convince some one very proud fo who they are that perhaps they should put the ego aside and listen to reason...Human nature has it that the person you are attempting to bring to reason will percieve it as an attack..."do not throw pearls before swine..for they will tample on you and then tear you apart like mad dogs" - to para phrase... so the pearls are pearls of truth - If you tell someone espeically with power an authority the truth - they just might go out of their way to destroy you...so who is going to stick their neck out and take that chance - certainly not you or I !

Such pessimism is not remotely warranted, at least in Canada.

You've completely forgotten Michael Harris? That man had a propensity for identifying his detractors then singling them out for special attention either openly, through the media or more privately.

No surprise to me people wanted no part of Hudak with his past connections to Mikey and his policies.

Nothing strange here - Its common knowledge among anyone who studies economics that ALL first world economies are "mixed economies" that blend social democratic policies with regulated market economies, and that the political parties only differ to degree or, rather, on what should be funded and regulated. We mix social insurance policies (retirement benefits, health care, unemployment insurance) physical infrastructure (roads, rails, parks, bike trails, etc), social infrastructure (public education) with a market that is regulated (environmental regulations, etc.) Capitalism depends on these policies to create a prosperous society, just as society depends on a working market economy. Whether its Canada, Sweden or the US, whether its Republicans, Social Democrats or Christian Democrats in power, this holds true.

While no credible economist would argue with this, it seems the media, at least in the US, are clueless as Tea Party activists call Obama a "socialist" and Occupy protesters decry "capitalism".

For me being an un-educated guy ...I knew on thing - that communist...socialist....really have no money of their own....in order to launch a movement you have to finance it...Then it came to me that capitalists have the money and they fund leftist thing..in order to make a profit..The whole thing is very dishonest and insidious.
